I would like to draw your attention to 5 year old Sara. Sara Bariş lives with her parents in a small town called Bitlis, Turkey. Sara was born with the condition cerebral palsy. Due to damage to her brain, she has cramps in her legs/feet, making her unable to walk. (Cerebral palsy is a condition where children have difficulty moving due to brain damage).
There are not many specialists in this field in Turkey. After visiting many doctors, the family has now found a specialist in Istanbul (this is +/- 1400 km from her place of residence). On March 3rd, she will undergo the operation "Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR)" at the Acibadem Altunizade hospital in Istanbul by Prof. dr. Dr. Mehmet Özek. The costs for the operation (incl. Travel costs) amount to around 50 thousand Turkish Lira (+/- € 7,200). The family now has a large part of the amount, but they still have an amount of 20 thousand Turkish Lira deficits (+/- € 2,900).
Through this operation there is a good chance that Sara can walk, something she has not been able to do independently. I would like to ask you to make a small contribution to a better future for Sara. Every bit helps. With this, we could support the family in an awful lot. If more is collected than the target amount, this will benefit the family for any additional costs that are not yet foreseeable.Thank you for your time and (possible) contribution.
