Help 2.5 yr old Allegra and her family fight Leukaemia

Hi there,

This initiative is to raise money for Allegra and her family. Allegra is 2.5 years old and in August 2016 she was diagnosed with leukaemia. The funds raised will be used to help Allegra and her family, fight and defeat this illness over the next year.

Allegra is a beautiful angel who is filled with life and is very cheeky at times. She is also incredibly smart. Allegra’s parents, Tina and Andy are creative individuals.

Tina was born in Australia and moved to Austria around 6 years ago; she is a full time mother, wife, daughter and sister. She spends most of her time looking after the family and raising her kids in good health and with good values.

Andy works really hard; he is a skiing instructor during the winter and works casual jobs during off-season. Both, Andy and Tina are gifted artists. Allegra has a 4.5 year old brother, Raphy,

Raphy is a really kind and gentle soul. He has been incredibly strong and loving towards his little sister while she is battling this illness.

Allegra & her family's situation

The family has just enough earnings to live a normal and content life in the little ski town of St Anton. However, financially, they were not prepared to deal with a cruel illness like leukaemia, especially at the young age of 2.5 years.

Not only is this physically challenging for Allegra and her family but also emotionally draining. No one should have to go through this, least of all a beautiful 2.5-year-old angel. No parents should have to see their child suffer.

I am a close family friend and while this family is going through such an ordeal I am trying to help in any way I can. In such a situation shortage of money can add a lot of stress to an already very stressful situation.

The doctors have told the family that Allegra will need various treatments over the next year including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. And during this time at least one parent has to be with Allegra at all times and the other has to look after Raphy, household chores, commuting and other responsibilities. This means that there will be next to no income in the family for the next year.

The funds raised through this initiative will help with the following over the next year:

• Various medical expenses not covered by government
• Commuting expenses for the family to various medical facilities as St Anton is a very small town and doesn’t have adequate facilities for leukaemia related treatments
• Rent, food and other living expenses
• Nanny services for Raphy for when both parents need to be with Allegra

I am determined to help this family and I urge you to donate generously to help this beautiful angel, Allegra and her lovely family.
