Heart Operation for my Brother

Update posted by Elizabeth Cabida On Aug 02, 2016

Hi everyone..

Thank you so much for all your support, encouragement and love you have showed us the past months.

Tonight, Kuya Moises was released from the hospital.. and he is finally going home.

Kuya's recovery and maintenance of medicines will continue as he goes home... but the heart surgery was successful.

All thanks to each and everyone of you who have helped us every step of the way.

You are amazing people, and you helped give a man another chance at life... to be a friend, colleague, brother, father...

Words cannot express how thankful we are for all of you.

Much love. God bless!

Hi everyone...

I was just informed that Kuya Moises is already scheduled for his open heart surgery tomorrow. They will replace 2 valves in his hearts and repair 1 valve.

We dont know what time it would be yet. It could be early morning, noon, or in the afternoon. I'll keep you posted for any updates.

Thanks for all your prayers and support so far. Please pray for a successful operation, and comfort (especially for his kids) at this time.

Romans 5:3-4

"...we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance, character, and character, hope."

We trust in God that He is with us through all of this, and we believe everything will turn out for the best.

Pm me for anything. (hugs)

Hi everyone!

We had the Music for Life: Stay Strong, Play On benefit concert at Splice Resto Bar Greenfield District last Sunday (July 3, 2016). Everyone has been so supportive, and this is definitely a #FaithInHumanityRestored moment for our family.

By the grace of God, we raised 19,950PHP from ticket selling and donations! Some money from our fundraising and online campaign has already helped so much with the downpayment for the hospital bill and medicines.

My brother has been on antibiotics for the past 2 weeks, and we will know by tomorrow if he'll be cleared for his open heart surgery. I'm going to the hospital again tomorrow to check on him and the current bill, but just wanted to let you all know that you are all amazing in helping us out with all of this!

God bless you more and more! #StayStrong

Hi everyone!

My brother's schedule for operation will be delayed for 2 weeks. He has an infection on his blood and a fever. They need to have him take antibiotics and pain reliever for 2 weeks before checking if he would be well enough to have the heart surgery.

Times are a bit tough right now. He said he's getting used to people passing away in the adult service ward he's in, but we are keeping our hopes up. This is a time for patience and most definitely faith in God who knows best for all of us.

You guys have been so supportive, and our family thanks you so much.

Hi all,

My brother's not feeling too well right now, so they gave him some time to rest for a bit.

They rescheduled the heart operation on Monday.

Thank you for all the prayers.

We raised 30,000 pesos last night at the benefit concert for my brother. So many amazing artists were kind enough to perform for our cause.

With over 140 people, we were able to raise enough money from door charge and donations.

My brother will have his surgery by Friday!

THANK. YOU. SO. MUCH.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Hi everyone!

By God's grace, we have a total of ₱31,360.00 from offline donations and here on site. This is a joint effort among friends, family, and colleagues. I am just so amazed how God touches people to help us when we most need it.

Everyone has been so supportive, and my brother is hopeful that we will reach the 50,000PHP mark by June 14. By then, he can be scheduled for operation.

Only 2 days left, so how do we raise enough money? We're having a benefit concert just for this cause!

Rising artists in music and spoken word have been kind enough to perform for the event ALL FOR FREE. All proceeds will be for my brother's heart operation. How awesome is that!?

You can find out more about the event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1737805623133823/

Once again, thank you all for your love and support! <3

Hi guys,

I just wanted to say thank you for all the donations we've had for my brother so far. We have ₱23,360.00 now, and most of it was donated offline. I'm staying optimistic that we will raise 50,000 for his operation's down payment by June 14 at least.

My brother is feeling a bit better, but the valves in his heart are slowly closing... which means he really needs the heart surgery ASAP. We are doing what we can to save him. At this point, we are organizing a fundraising benefit concert for him that would be held on July 2. We are hoping it would help raise funds and awareness.

Every donation gives us hope.

YOU give us hope.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Hi everyone!

My brother needs 50,000 by June 15, 2016 as down payment for his operation.

It's gonna be an open heart surgery where they need to replace 3 valves in his heart. I was surprised to know that the valve was 350,000 EACH! Shucks.

Thank God for government agencies. Also, my sister Judith's asking for financial assistance everywhere paid off. Instead of a million +++ pesos, we only have to pay 80% of the total cost.. which would be 200,000-300,000 (that we are now raising, thanks to all of you!!!)

It's been 3 days, and we raised 13,000 already. I'm so overwhelmed. You guys are awesome! Thank you so much.

I'll be posting pictures of my bro's documents here. Hopefully, I can also post a video.

We took him out for a stroll in the hallway today. His spirit seems to be lifting.

All thanks to you. #MissionHeartOperation
