Harry’s Hair Hack

Hi, my name is Harry and I am the House Captain of Phoenix House.

On Feb 10th I will be shaving my head to raise money for my local Cancer Charity here in Penang Malaysia.

Phoenix House has chosen The National Cancer Society of Malaysia as our charity for 2023 and as the House Leader I am going to start things off by shaving off all of my hair to raise awareness and funds for all those people who have been affected by cancer.

The National Cancer Society of Malaysia, Penang Branch (NCSM Penang) was established in 1968.

It is financed entirely by voluntary contributions from the public and receives no government funding. NCSM Penang is dedicated to preventing and controlling cancer, saving lives from cancer, and improving the quality of life of those living with cancer through patient care and education.

We are also involved in Public Cancer Awareness and Education Programmes which include cancer exhibitions, seminars, lectures and Cancer Education in schools.

Financial assistance to needy cancer-stricken families, support for cancer survivors and providing subsidized mammograms for the needy are all part of the services offered by NCSM Penang. NSCMPG aims to take the fear away by providing a quality cancer information platform that empowers you to make better life decisions. Join us to fight cancer as a community.

Educate - to minimize cancer in Malaysia by raising public awareness on the prevention, screening and early detection of cancer through education

Care - to increase access to cancer services in Malaysia by providing affordable as well as advanced screening and diagnostic facilities

Support - to empower individuals and those affected with cancer to maintain the highest possible quality of life
