GoGetFunding for Zosima Batan Palma

This GoGetFunding Account was made to gather financial help for the day-to-day expenses including medical treatments of Zosima Batan Palma who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Massive Ductal Cancer ( Ductal carcinoma is a common type of breast cancer that starts in the cells that line the milk ducts, which carry breast milk to the nipple).

Ate Emma as she is fondly called is trying to make ends meet by being a house help to provide for his two sons who are currently in High School. Being a single parent her only goal was to see them finish their degree that she decided to set aside her ailment for them. She was supposed to be operated on last 2017 unfortunately, maybe because of fear for herself and her sons her blood pressure spiked-up that the doctors decided to cancel the operation. From that year up to the late months of 2020, due to financial concerns, she has never stepped to any hospitals to have her breast checked, this is despite her experiencing pains and even when pus was already coming out from her breast.

We requested her to go down to the city so she can have her check-up and after undergoing some laboratory tests the doctor told us that her Cancer could already be in Stage 3. We were able to help her secure a free operation from the Government Hospital here in Quezon unfortunately, we were told that before they can proceed with the operation she has to undergo a CT scan first. This is a different procedure and is not free. We tried getting more help from the government but what we got won't suffice to pay for the CT Scan. Upon learning that this procedure would be costly she decided to go back to her hometown and said that she will for the meantime ask help from her barangay and municipality and just go back again once she has the money.

The proceeds of this fund-raising will go to the initial procedures that she needs to undergo like a CT scan, including chemotherapy after the operation, and medicines.
