My mother, Dallas, has had a long history of cancer, and other medical conditions. For the past three months, Dallas has had numerous visits to the hospital and various medical clinics, however, the responses were more referral and more tests that needed to be done. No one was able to provide reasons why Dalla's health was declining so abruptly. On Saturday June 3rd, Dallas required immediate medical attention and was rushed to Hospiten a private hospital in Montego Bay, Jamaica due to critical condition. Findings reveal a tibia fracture in the right femur, mass in the abdomen, severe dehydration, and an unconscious mental status. The same day she was diagnosed with Osteoporosis. The cancer we thought she had survived, has now metastasis to her bones. Since admission, Dallas continues to have radiating pain, but is stabilized well enough to begin conversation around surgery. The surgery will be high risk, so it is a matter of life or death, but it is the only hope we have to remove Dallas from her bed bound state and to live a life of normalcy with her Osteoporosis illness.
