God’s Challenge of Faith and Bravery : Tina’s Battle

As said by many, God often uses our deepest pains as the launching pad of our greatest calling and the strength of our faith. But as I know that God would not have sent this challenge if we, as a family, could not overcome it, I know that he also have angels on Earth to guide and help.

On July 1, 2021, my cousin whom I consider as sister already (as grew up together and lived in one house and raised by my parents) was unfortunately rushed to Makati Medical Center after having a stroke at her office. After being given proper medication to resolve the stroke, we thought that in a couple of days she would be sent home but due to elevated BP she was made to stay for more tests. On July 7, she had 2 episodes of stroke where she wasn't able to move her lower region, lost extraocular movements and had a slurred speech. According to her doctors, although being treated for stroke, the origin cannot be determined. She's had 3 MRI's, several EEGs and Transcranial Doppler as well as other medical diagnostic tests. Currently, she's acquired COVID already and we don't know how long she will be staying at the hospital thus the running bill.

I'm humbly and faithfully asking for help to aid in the running hospital bill of my Ate Tina. We are seeking donations and contributions as the extent of her stay in the hospital is unknown and depends on how fast the recovery is. I'm reaching out on behalf of my family as my mom who has been taking care of her in the hospital has been exposed to COVID as well, physically and mentally straining her with the stress of funding and isolating. As a single mother, I am incapable to give as much because I also have three children to suffice for.
