Our Mother Paterna Eugenio Batac has been rushed to the hospital on 17th July due to a 4th Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA), or popularly known as Stroke. From then on, she has been admitted to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit and is still unconscious as of this writing. She has developed Diabetis Mellitus Type 2, and has acquired Pneumonia in the hospital.

She has had multiple strokes that started in 2009. The Doctors said the cause of these strokes was the acquired Mitral Stenosis (Rheumatic Heart Disease) that we only learned on the 1st time she had the stroke. In 2014, she had the stroke that affected the left side of her body. From them on, it left her half paralysed. Being in this condition, she had remained cheerful and faithful. We've seen her indomitable will to live longer for her family. Mommy believes that God will totally heal her in His due time. Mommy has been religiously taking her meds, and has been seeing her Neurologist and Cardiologist for timely check ups, together with our Father, Joven Ventura Batac. She really was very optimistic that she'd be well again for us.

We, her family, have been fighting with her from the moment we knew that she has this disease. We believe that she'd be able to conquer this again. She has always been a fighter. We were told that if she regains consciousness, having informed that 75% of both sides of her brain have been affected by the Stroke, she will be on a vegetative state. Meaning she'd be awake but would be unaware of her surroundings. No more interactions like before. No more recollection of the past memories. And this would require a prolong nursing care. Thinking that this is going to be her condition breaks our family's heart. But thinking how our Mother has always been a strong woman, a fighter, we will fight this with her. There is nothing impossible with God.

However, the hospital bills and medications are building up day by day, and we can't afford to pay for them all. Me and my siblings are doing the best we can, but we are being drained financially. We would like to humbly appeal to your kind hearts for any financial assistance to sustain and be able to fight for Mommy. Any amount that comes from your heart is very much appreciated.
