Campaign Story
A precious day it is for us, everyone.
Hello. I am Nikka Andrea Bagaporo, 18, currently residing in Taguig City, Philippines. I have always had the heart for volunteering. During my Junior High years, I have been an assistant to doctors who came to my school's Medical-Dental mission. As for my Senior High years, I was one of the officers who have spearheaded an outreach/gift-giving program in my school. Whenever these kind of volunteer program ends, I am left with this insatiable hunger for helping. I always crave for more.
This coming 8th of May 2019, I will be celebrating my 19th birthday and I could not think of a better way to celebrate it than to give joy to people who have been abandoned by their families, people who have special needs, and etc. To be honest, I'd rather be around these people because they make me happy. They give me genuine joy that no other thing can. One smile from their faces already fills my heart with love.
That said, I am planning to host an outreach program in Hospicio De San Jose Manila. It is a sanctuary for the homeless, orphans, elderly, and people with special needs. Being a student, I do not have all the means to fund this program by myself so I am here, knocking into your hearts to help me in even the smallest ways possible.
"Helping one person might not change the world, but it could change the world for that one person."
Any amount would really, really be appreciated. I could not thank you all enough. I am grateful for this opportunity. Thank you so much and God bless everyone.
