Talofa Lava Everyone,

My name is Mathias Sua. I am from the tiny but mighty country of New Zealand. Born and Raised in the capital city of Wellington, now residing in Auckland.

I have been accepted into the Kenya volunteer program to work with a local organization from February 2014 and will participate in the Children’s project, where I will contribute to the local Kenyan community.

On February 15th 2014 I will be travelling to Kenya for 3 weeks to do some voluntary work in an orphanage to do my best to bring happiness to the lives of children who have little or no experience of the feeling.

I have a very memorable childhood and one I wouldn’t change if I had the chance. As a child I remember receiving numerous presents for Birthdays and Christmas, I remember going to the cinema watching Lion King and having a lil cry when Mufasa died. I remember watching Dragon Ball Z every day until I started getting hairs on my chin. I remember watching a Hurricanes rugby game at Athletic Park with names like Jonah Lomu, Christian Cullen and Tana Umaga playing to name a few (only the best names in Rugby History). I remember having bags of Marbles, stacks of Pokémon Cards, Street Fighter Caps, Bubble Gum tattoos, Kablueys…the list goes on!

My point is a lot of kids around the world don’t have the opportunity to experience child hood memories like most of us do simply because there isn’t enough “time” invested in their lives and that’s where I want to make a difference.

God has given me the strength to take the first step in making this trip a possibility but strength alone will not get me to where I want to be…

My program fees comes to US$2,147 which is the full cover for 3 weeks that include accommodation and meals etc and is due by 1st December 2013. Flights I will pay out of my own pocket and can honestly say your donations will be put to good use. That’s why I kindly ask those reading to donate generously to give me the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children who need love, attention, life skills and education so they can be freed from poverty and filled with the same opportunities as others around the world.

I will busk in my underwear on the street if that’s what it takes to raise funds for this good cause… hopefully that’s not the case but only time will tell.

A cause that will make the world a better place!!

Thank you very much Family and friends for taking the time to read.

“LIFE ISN’T ABOUT FINDING YOURSELF,

IT’S ABOUT DISCOVERING WHO GOD CREATED YOU TO BE”

Take Care and God Bless.
