Give Tech, Give Opportunity: Provide Better Access to Technology for 1,200 Students

The Problem:

Out of the 1,200 students (KG to Grade 6) that go to Wat Boa School, the percent of computers compared to the number of students is only 6%.

Furthermore, these students cannot access these computers in any other time other than "computer class", so the students will almost never be able to do their own research, or experiment with computers on their own.

In a society which is becoming more and more computer dependent, it has become increasingly important that these kids receive an education that allows them to be internet literate.

Our Solution:

By raising money to buy computers for this school, we will be able to provide for the school the first ever computer room that can be accessed out of class time.

This means that kids who are interested to learn about computers, or do some research online in general, will be able to do so at any time.

To ensure these kids have the basic skills needed to explore on their own with the computers, we will also teach classes for the students on basic IT and research skills using those computers.

Furthermore, under the current COVID situation, the school also asked for help with the provision of liquid soaps and masks.

Exactly Where Your Money is Going:

• Cost of 1 computer - 8,000 baht
• Cost of 1 cloth face mask - 10 baht
• Cost of 1 liter of liquid soap - 60 baht

With 100,000 baht, we can buy:

• 10 computers (80,000 baht)
• 1,004 masks (10,040 baht)
• 166 liters of liquid soap (9,960 baht)
• Total = 100,000 baht
