In Romania, the abandonment of animals is a very difficult phenomenon to stop. Lack of education, poverty and mismanagement of the problem by the authorities, all lead to this situation getting out of control. The birth of thousands of unwanted animals that end up on the streets, and who often die in horrible pain or hardly survive, has to come to an end.
Sterilization of animals is the only solution to break the chain and stop this phenomenon. The goal of this fundraise is helping one or more associations in their battle for the abandoned animals. Achieving the total amount of this fund would mean giving them the opportunity to sterilize 20 dogs or cats. You could be a part of this great step towards a better future.
Please don’t remain indifferent to this desperate cry for help! Help me to support the few people who bravely carry on this battle every day, people who still believe their love and dedication to the animals will finally lead to a change.
It all started this summer when I went for a visit to my parent’s house. It was the first day of my holiday, this desperate cry of a small kitten was coming from somewhere not that far away. I immediately went out on the street; some kids found this helpless tiny kitten close to the dumpster. He was so small, hungry and desperate, he was not even 10 days old, his little hart was bumping out from his chest. When I had it in my hands he immediately stopped crying and start crawling into my arms looking for warmth and protection. I felt so powerless in front of this tiny creature! And that was the exact moment I realized I had to do something for him and for all those little souls who do not get the same chance he got. His story is a happy one: he is a big boy now, doing well and sharing a warm house with a bigger sister and enjoying the life he fought so badly for. His little face is constantly in front of my eyes, I will never forget his tiny paws holding on my hand, so desperate to fight and to get a chance to life. I struggled so much for days, months after, I knew I had to do something and start helping them, but how?! This was the biggest challenge until I realized that maybe helping out the angels who are fighting for these helpless and abused souls was probably the best thing I could do.
I kept following their daily work and kept donating for many rescue cases but the only real solution is stopping the problem at its own origin. These associations are trying to keep going and survive the daily lack of funds, help or adoptions. The rescued animals need most of the time medical care or vaccines, food ,shelter and a family to love, the love they will never get to know if we keep ignoring the reality. Give now your support to these amazing people who dedicate themselves to the greater goal of helping the helpless.
