Ging’s Heart Deserves a New Beat

Ging is a loving sister and aunt, a caring friend and a dedicated physical therapist. She is always filled with positivity and is living her life to the fullest. As her sister with 12 years gap I have seen her grow and bloom into a young woman filled with hopes and dreams.

It was the year 2018 when our mother passed away and Ging started to show symptoms of shortness of breath and easily gets tired in an ordinary daily activities. She still continued to practice her profession despite this but as time passed she finally consulted a doctor and was found to have Atrial Septal Defect and her worsening symptoms was due to her lungs (Pulmonary Hypertension) being affected by her heart's condition. She was advised to undergo heart surgery however due to financial constraints we had to delay this. Ging was let go by her employer due to her condition. She moved in with me and my family. When 2020 came we experienced the negative impact of pandemic and she was found out that her Pulmonary Hypertension is getting worse and she might not survive the surgery. Her doctors prescribed a medication which was costly and her surgery was postponed. Thankfully she responded well and is now ready for her heart to be repaired, however, we have exhausted all our options to come up with the funds needed for her operation.
