Gender Transitionning

Hello,

My name is Freya, I am 36 years old and I live in Belgium since I was 18 years old. I waited all these years before undertaking my gender reassignment because I did not want to rush around. Nevertheless, since I announced my transition, I realize that the mentality of my entourage has not changed. I became lonely because all the people I thought I could count on disappeared from my life since the announce of my decision.

I am also afraid that my current employer won't offer me the opportunity to continue to work for him at the end of my contract.

The transition is a more or less a long period of time during which one does not really look like a man but not a woman either. It takes several surgeries and medical procedures to finally look like a woman.

During this period of time, the major difficulty is to find work, to be able to support oneself and also finance the transition. Many trans people in my situation have no choice but prostitution. And, that's exactly what I want to avoid.

I still dare to believe in the solidarity of the human community to raise enough money that will allow me to:

- finance my transition.

- pay off my mortgage and keep my apartment.

- live in dignity for 5 years, until the transition is finally convincing, before finding a new job.

- Undertake legal studies while Transitionning to prepare for a good future and be able to serve others.
