Gaza Basic Needs Relief for Most Desperate Families, Palestine-2019

The main issues we will be working on in this fundraiser are: basic food needs, basic winter needs, and rebuilding homes for some homeless families.

In the first two stages of “The Relief of Most Distressed Palestinian Families Campaign” we, Light Gaza Life Organization were able to help 800 of the most distressed Palestinian needy families with Full Food Packages, among other urgent basic needs like housing/sheltering, etc. In this fundraiser, the goal is to help at least another 200 desperate families in Gaza, InshaAllah. Light Gaza Life team have made many field visits to many marginalized and disadvantaged neighborhoods in the blockaded Gaza. We have got a list of hundreds of vulnerable families that settle in very critical living conditions, have no source of income and not able to ensure the basic needs of food for their children (totally aid-dependent.)
Media never shows that 95% of Palestinian families in Gaza are suffering from depression. Adversity is invading almost the homes of all families and surely the children are the biggest victims of this Israeli grueling blockade. Many families and children in Gaza have known nothing but blockade, war and a growing cycle of deprivation. Their stress and anxiety compound with every day that they continue to live in uncertainty. The families and their children are trying to recover in Gaza’s extremely challenging situation where there are not enough hospital beds or medicines to treat children properly, where there is no electricity for most of the day and where they are increasingly seeing their parents struggling to make ends meet. Even worse, most international and national humanitarian aids are cut and the completely dependent families on aids are now suffering severe poverty which led some families to become homeless. The children of Gaza are resilient but they must urgently receive more support to overcome their harsh humanitarian and traumatic experiences.
