Campaign Story
We are desperately trying to save doggies from being put down in Negri Sembilan, Malaysia. About 7000 doggies in Seremban and 3000 doggies in Nilai have been killed in one year due to the many complaints by residents especially Muslim residents in housing areas. If we do not raise sufficient funds to neuter and rehome them or keep them in shelters, everyday 20 to 30 dogs will be put down as registered dog catchers have been tasked to do this job. To neuter and vaccinate one dog, we need about US 50. To look after him at a shelter on an average we need another US 30 per month for food, medical expenses, workers, utilities and other management costs. We appeal to all animal lovers to help us to save as many as possible. By neutering them and releasing some in safe areas, we will be able to bring the stray population under control in about 5 years. The government is planning to provide land and put up a shelter for strays. But until then we NGOs have to save as many doggie lives as possible.
