Hi, Thanks for taking the time to view my gofundme campaign. Talk each year always pops up about domestic cat populations and there effect on bird species etc. Although most the damage they do is to other introduced bird species that plague cities - but this is not the time nor place to argue such facts. What everyone agrees on is that there is a large homeless cat population largely due to the rate at which these cats can breed - and people who move houses, towns, countries and leave the poor moggy behind. Now here in NZ we have the SPCA which tries to find homes, provides vet care, and will always de-sex, micro chip and treat any cat that comes into its care. Not to say cats breeding is bad - it helps control since there seems to not be enough homes for them. Now I would like to do my part both for my cats and the neighbourhood. I had one female cat whom i grabbed from my Aunties house when she was a kitten (her mum and siblings still are 'wild') She has not been fixed and is starting to attractthe neighbourhood Males - it will be a matter of time before she herself has a litter, which would be fine, but she will continue to have litters. This will result in me having to ofload a whole bunch of kittens to the local spca who already have 400+ kittens! I dont want to think about what they do to those they cannot home.  Now having one in heat female cat to de-sex would be fine. However during November I noticed another cat mooching around (never seen her before) she wasnt scared, and allowed me get close. With close inspection I notice something behind her moving under the porch....turns out she had 3 kittens! It would of been one of the first days that they had opened their eyes! and she needed food. So I ended up having 5 cats in total to provide for.  Have managed to hand one kitten off. But the mum and 2 kittens remain. Yes, I could hand them into the SPCA but that wouldnt do anyone any good. I can afford to keep them (feed, water, nuture) its just the lump sum needed up front to de-sex which i need help with. Male cats are cheaper than females to de-sex but I have atleast 3 females, but pretty sure its 4! With what could be strays already sniffing around, its quite urgent to get these cats fixed. I cant just give them to SPCA to do - since it still costs one way or another. Sure kittens are lovely and cute, but I would eventually have to hand them into the SPCA and burden them with having to find the funding to look after them and find homes. So its just easier to get these 4 cats de-sexed and live out all our lives together in relative happiness! Kind Regards Blake RobinsonNote: this was my original plan - its still the same, however I would like to extend on this. I would like to put a deposit down on a property (ideally a lifestyle block) so that I can house/look after strays to get them off the street and out of harms way!
