Campaign Story
Yesterday, 30th September 2020, we got a devastating news, that Princess has FIP, the neurological form.
If until recently we had no hope to save our cats from dieing of FIP, now we have and even if it comes under an experimental and still unapproved drug, the GS-441524 works and does wonders. The treatment lasts for 84 days, sadly a very long time, but its all we have, is the only way to fight FIP and save our loved cats.
I saved Princess back in October 2019 from the streets in Bucharest, Romania and she was later on adopted in November.
The costs for the treatment are huge, a vial of GS has 5ml and the cheapest is 80$ (about 70€). Princess needs daily injections, 2.1ml each day for 84 days (the dosage for neuro FIP is 10mg/kg according to the clinical studies). This means we need 36 vials at a total cost of 2,880$ (about 2,450€) that is impossible to afford between me and her adopter.
She started her first injection yesterday (30th September 2020) and we just have to go on. How we will manage i don’t know, but we have to give our best.
So we beg everyone to help us, to help us to save Princess.
I have had a positive experience with GS with another rescue kitten, who completed 84 days back in March and now has 1 year old and is a healthy kitten enjoying life.

Update posted by ana maria tonchevici at 01:01 pmThere were many days, weeks, months in which we (me and Amalia - Princess’ mum) tried to raise all the money necessary for Princess' treatment against FIP. It took 84 days of treatment, injections or pills for Princess to fight this ugly disease. The last injection was on December 22,. . . . .
Day 70
Update posted by ana maria tonchevici at 02:34 pmPrincess is doing great and we have reached day 70.We had to increase her GS dosage as she grew up a bit and gain weight, having 3.4kg now; so the new dosage is 2.3ml and she gets it for a while already.We have treatment until 12th December thanks to everyones. . . . .

She is fighting hard to finish the treatment, we have good days and bad days.We thank everyone who have helped and still helping us to go on.We still have another 30 days and we have to increase. . . . .

Princess is feeling better, as she didnt made temperature (except one day) since she started the treatment; she eats well and even plays. Some. . . . .
