Funds for Eye Medication and Prescription Glasses

My name's Dave, a 24 year old that was born and raised in Kenya. Poor vision Is something that I started experiencing when I was about 12 years old due to an unfortunate accident. I stabbed my left eye by mistake with a pen that went right through my pupil. The pain was unbearable at the time and I temporarily lost my vision for a couple of seconds before I regained it back except everything was blurry.

I was always the shy, introverted person in school, always kept things to myself so I didn't say a thing to anyone until after I went home. I told my parents about it and went to get checked up. After a few tests I was handed out prescription glasses and eyedrops to help ease the pain abit but it still persisted. Fast forward till now and it's become even worse since my right eye has somewhat began to get affected. I broke my glasses a couple of months back and I've been trying to grind and buy new ones plus medication to soothe the pain but it's becoming a bit challenging now.

I used to work at a construction site (quarry) that's located close to where I live which used to help me and my family get through the usual daily grinds. The workplace there wasn't "safe" so we didn't have any protection whatsoever (hardhats, eye protection, overalls etc). The site had so much dust so it really affected my eyes even worse. Yes, the job wasn't suitable for me, even my parents were against it but I had no choice but to do it as it paid well and there weren't many other jobs available at the time. I tried persevering through it but it came to a point where i had no choice but to stop it. my eyes got swollen to the point where I could hardly see but it healed a bit after a few home remedies since I couldn't afford to go for another check up.

I wish I could be able to just go for medication and get myself a new pair of glasses but it's been a bit hard to work atm since the pain from my eyes is just unbearable. I always believe in working hard and paying for your own bills but it's become a bit much for me to do that.
