Fundraising for my father’s fight agains’t cancer

We are reaching out to you with a large hope in our hearts, as our father was recently diagnosed with stage 2 Colorectal cancer.

Last April 2021, my father was brought to the clinic due to abdominal pain and blood in the stools. He then underwent a CT scan where they found a mass in his rectum, followed by colonoscopy with biopsy and sadly it confirmed that he has cancer.

They have scheduled him for immediate surgery (July 1, 2021) to remove the cancerous section of the bowel and to have a permanent colostomy. Afterwards he will undergo both chemotherapy and radiation therapy as advised by his doctors. The doctors were very honest that the road for my father to get better is not cheap.

We want to prolong his life by giving him the necessary medications and medical procedures he needs. The effect of his illness is undoubtedly going to be devastating to our family, both financially and emotionally. However the cancer is still localized and has a high survival rate (if given proper treatment in time), hence we are still optimistic and are knocking at your generous kind hearts to help us fund this operation (and the many months of postoperative therapy). Any amount means a lot to us and will go a long way!

Before all this our father was a very active person regularly enjoying hikes on his bike and playing tennis with his friends. Our hope is that after the treatment he will be healthy enough to continue his activities, and that he will be healthy enough to be able to play with and enjoy the company of the grandchildren that he hasn't met yet when we visit him again in the Philippines.

Kindly include our father in your prayers - that God will guide his doctors and heal him. We pray that God will return the favor a thousand fold to you and the rest of your family as you help someone like our papa. We are not losing hope and we will never lose hope for his healing.
