Fundraising for Girl Guides

We are raising funds for the use of Girl Guides Malaysia, specifically for the student members, the facilities and the community in need around us.

The funds would be used to help less fortunate student members of Kelip-Kelip (Firefly), Tunas (Brownies), Remaja (Guides), Renjer ( Ranger) and more, to purchase uniforms, attend national and/or international Girl Guide Jamborees and participate in educational opportunities.

The funds would also be used to improve Girl Guide facilities such as the Persatuan Pandu Puteri Hall, Brickfields. This venue has witnessed countless efforts and activities by the Girl Guide communities and even watched the multiple generation cycle of Brownies blossoming into Clovers and Trefoil Guilders who now are guiding the younglings to find their own steps.

During stricter Covid times, the members of Trefoil Guild pooled their own contribution amongst themselves to help the community in need to get through uncertain times. Especially during the floods of late 2021, true to their Girl Guiding believes - a portion of the group collected their own contributions and held small donation drives to purchase gas stoves and basic electrical appliances for those affected, while others who are able bodied physically rescued victims from their flooded homes by boat.

TLDR:

We dont pick and choose who we help & do our best to help the less fortunate in the community. There are limitations of funds and yet, so much more we can do - so let's work together & help out each other. If not you and I, then whom? Every effort and cents COUNT!

P.S. oh we're also aiming to fix this hole in the ceiling if we can collect enough funds.
