Fundraising Appeal for Arnelo “NELO” Del Mundo’s Life-Saving Procedure

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Family around the world,

I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. I am reaching out to share some urgent and distressing news about our dear friend and long-time colleague, Arnelo "NELO" Del Mundo.

In 2020, Nelo was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal Cancer, a rare form of head and neck cancer. He has been courageously battling this insidious disease, but recent developments have taken a grave turn. Last Friday, October 6, he was rushed to the emergency room, where it was discovered that cancer cells had metastasized to his spine.

Nelo has been undergoing medical treatments, supported by his HMO and personal life insurance. However, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Nelo has already exhausted his finances in this fight, and the next crucial step in his treatment is an expensive procedure (approximately Php1M or 17K USD) known as the Decompression of epidural mass in the spine - to be conducted at Cardinal Santos Medical Center. This procedure is vital to prevent paralysis and to give Nelo a chance at recovery.

We had discussed the possibility of crowdfunding a few months ago, but Nelo, being the humble and self-reliant person he is, urged us to wait. Now, given the urgency and critical nature of his situation, Nelo has reached out for our help.

Having known Nelo for over 30 years, I can vouch for his kind-hearted nature and resilient spirit. All we wish for is his complete recovery and return to a normal, happy life. I sincerely appeal to each of you to open your hearts and contribute what you can to fund this life-saving procedure.

The donations made to this drive will go directly to Nelo's bank account. At this time, Nelo is weak and unable to initiate the registration process himself. Your support and contributions will be a beacon of hope for him during this challenging time.
