My name is Stevedavies Ndegwa. I hail from a small town in Nyeri, Kenya. I come from a very humble background. For most of my life, I lived iwth my grandmother until five years ago when she passed away. I live with my mother and elder brother. My mother is a primary school teacher and my brother is unemployed. The salary my mother earns is not much to support anything outside the basic needs. I was fortunate to have received a scholarship from my high school.
Having received admission from Minerva Schools at KGI, I am very excited and eager to explore my dreams and ambitions at this amazing place.
I hope to be able to pursue my college education in a well structured and developed system so that I can be able to help children from similar backgrounds to mine. This is an opportunity that has been presented by Minerva in an effort to help me achieve my goals; my interests lying in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Having received financial aid amounting to US $29850 out of $30850. I am required to raise $1000 as part of my family contribution annually. I am also required to raise money for my ticket which is about $1000. I am also required to raise money for my visa which is about $400. Moreover, I require $1000 house deposit for my first year and $500 for my medical insurance.
I am required to pay $500 of the family contribution by May 1 as my enrollment deposit. I require $400 for my visa as soon as I pay the deposit so as to start the visa application process. I am also required to pay $500 of the house deposit by June 30. The rest which amounts to about $2500 is required by early August as I am due to travel in late August.
I will highly be grateful for all the help accorded. For I know that to whom much is given, much will be required.
