Fundraiser for Cedric’s cancer treatment

Hello, we are the Evangelista family, and thank you for giving time to read our story. It is with a heavy heart that we share the story of my dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last January. It breaks our hearts to hear this knowing that it is already stage 4 by the time that we have known this from the doctors.

Timeline:

Dec 11 - Dad experienced stomach pain while in the office and this pain won't let him sleep during the night, that's when we decided to have a look at the clinic and get series of blood tests. The results came in the afternoon and his lipase and amylase were high meaning the pancreas is swollen and needs immediate attention.

Dec 19 - 24 - My dad was confined in the hospital and series of tests were conducted again and asked for an ultrasound this time but the results were doubled by this day for the lipase and amylase. During this time the doctors conducted a CT scan for dad and they saw that there are a lot of nodules around the liver and mass on the head of the pancreas. They did the endoscopy to get the sample for biopsy

Jan 4 - The doctor told us the results by this time that the cancer is already in stage 4 because the mass has already metastasised.

My father has gone many series of tests and also procedures which involves having two stents to establish patency of an obstructed bile or pancreatic duct, up to this day we are now on the process of chemotherapy and we are still hopeful for positive results so that he can gain his strength back.

My father is a great man, husband, father, sibling, and a friend. He has helped our family in every way he can and as a former OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) I salute him for every sacrifice that he has done for our family.

We humbly seek for your kindness for any help possible to support my dad Cedric for his medical treatment and ongoing chemotherapy sessions. Ultimately, may we also request for your prayers for God's mercy and healing as we really need it right now.
