Sacha Yacu is a non-profit Wildlife Rescue centre in the Ecuadorian Amazon, which rescues, rehabilitates and releases wild animals in their natural habitat.
Currently the centre is seeking funding to build a new open enclosure, allowing us to rescue more suffering Woolly monkeys. Keeping them as a bigger group allows them to settle in better, which, in turn, helps us to release them into the wild much quicker.
The enclosure will cost a total of $2505, this covers the cost of the following materials:
- Cement, $1000
- Sand, $650
- Bricks, $375
- Stones, $80
- Reinforced steel, $400
Sacha Yacu relies solely on donations and aid from international volunteers, without this, the rescue centre would not be able to survive and we would not be able to return these innocent animals back to their natural habitat. That‘s why your help is so valuable to us and it really does make all the difference.
See the video below, outlining the details and need for the Woolly monkey release project. (Thank you Sam, a former volunteer, for making and editing this video for us.)
