This is one of the worst situations that any family member doesn't want to be at. However, life is really full of unexpected events that happen at any unexpected time.
Our mother - Angela "Jovita" Awingan Lacmaan - Langcao was diagnosed with Rheumatic Heart Disease in 2018 and was recommended to undergo operations that year. To check other options, we visited the Philippine Heart Center (Quezon City) in 2019. Fortunately, we were given some hope that the operation is not immediate.
This 2020, however, is another case. We received a recommendation that our mother needs to undergo Heart Mitral Valve Replacement as early as possible. The cost is estimated at PhP1.2M, and the operation is targeted to be done at the Notre Dame (Baguio City), if everything went smoothly.
This is now the reason why we are here, knocking humbly at the doors of your hearts for your sincere donations thru this platform for us to be able to schedule the operation.
