On June 11, 2019, on my 34th week of pregnancy, my OB-Gyne noticed that my amniotic sac or water bag was leaking. She advised me to be hospitalized for hydration by IV fluid for 3 days.

On the scheduled ultrasound day, June 14, the doctor noticed that there was no significant progress so they decided to evacuate my baby by performing a caesarian section operation immediately. Moreover, I had severe headache all day wherein I cannot function well. It was considered as migraine.

On June 15, 2019 at 4:30 am, even with the terrible headache, I was taken to the operating room. At 5:25 am, Jaden Jace, my baby boy was delivered. Baby Jaden was born prematurely, 4 weeks before the due date, and was admitted at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It was amazing that my headache just went away after my delivery. June 15-17, 2019, things were going great and I felt that I was on my way to full recovery.

On June 18, 2019, the day that I was supposed to be discharged, I woke up with a really bad headache causing my OB-Gyne not to discharge me and to make sure that I got treated first. I was referred to a neurologist who then advised me to undergo MRI. On June 19, 2019, the pain was still there and just getting worse that I can no longer take it. I went to MRI by the evening and when the results came up I already knew that there was something wrong because they referred me to a neurosurgeon. The neurologist and neurosurgeon explained the findings to my family.

In the morning of June 20, 2019, the neurosurgeon informed us that the results of the MRI showed that I had a mass lesion which could be an abscess as a result of my bad tooth infection and my taking steroids. I was diagnosed with auto-immune hemolytic anemia in December 31, 2018 during the first trimester of my pregnancy. I was told that I needed to undergo a craniotomy urgently to prevent any further spreading of the abscess since this could be fatal. There being no choice, we agreed to have the operation done immediately. After deciding in the morning, I was scheduled to have the craniotomy by lunchtime. My bevy of doctors all told me that prayers are needed. And this we did and asked a lot more from friends and family. The Good Lord does love me so much that the operation went smooth and successful. My gratitude goes to all the doctors that the Good Lord used to heal me. I am still in recovery and even after I get to go home, the heplock stays as the antibiotics are intravenous.

I am requesting for financial assistance to soften the blow of the huge amount of medical bills that was incurred because of my operations. My baby boy is still in NICU and I was only able to visit him once after I delivered him. Despite all these, we still thank God for His great love and protection. Thanks to everyone and God Bless!
