Fund a future teacher

Early this year, I applied for master’s degree studies in Finland. With excitement and gratitude I want to share that I got accepted in three universities in Finland for the Autumn Class 2020. I was also granted partial tuition-fee scholarship:

• University of Oulu (Master’s in Education and Globalization & Master’s in Learning, Education and Technology - both 75% tuition scholarship);
• Abö Akademi University (Master’s in Teaching and Learning - 50% tuition scholarship); and
• Tampere University (Master’s in Teacher Education - 50% tuition scholarship).

I am happy that I got admitted to these programmes as the competition was really intense and I’m still amazed how that happened. It’s all God’s grace I believe.

I’ve been teaching underprivileged kids in HOPE worldwide Penang, Malaysia since 2016 and through it I discovered how I love and enjoy teaching, but most importantly I realized that education is so valuable to the poor and needy. Education is their only way out of poverty. In view of this, I decided to pursue my passion in teaching in Finland because the Finnish Educational System is known as one of the best in the world and I want to be trained as well as experience the open and inclusive education they have. I am very curious how they maintain quality and equality in education while they are known to have less emphasis on homework and tests with plenty of recess time.

It’s my prayer and dream to make an impact not just to the lives of many children but also to the educational system wherever God will put me one day.

Though I am already accepted in the programme, I still need to cover the 25-50% of the tuition fees plus living cost! It is for this reason that I ask humbly for your support so I can start realizing this dream and grab this once in a lifetime opportunity!

P.S. My husband got a full scholarship grant from Åbo Akademi University's Master’s in Social Exclusion also in Finland! (One proud wifey here)
