Help Us Win the Competition Plaisiobots: The Race and go to America

OUR TEAM

We are Tech Trio (Alexia, Nefeli, and Savvas), a student team from Komotini, and for our participation in the 1st Open Call national robotics and entrepreneurship competition "Plaisiobots: the Race", with the theme "The robot assists humans in their work", organized by PLAISIO for the year 2021 (Plaisiobots!), we designed Fuchair.

Our team is among the five student teams that qualified for the second and final phase of the competition, having obtained the highest score. In this phase, we are invited to implement our idea and present the prototype to the judges in the final to be held in January in Athens. And this is where we need your financial support to implement our idea and complete our participation in the competition.

The winning team will travel to America for a week and tour MIT, a lifelong dream of ours.

OUR IDEA

Fuchair (Future + Chair) is a robotic office chair that:

• Collects through sensors and records data about the user's posture
• Depending on the user's personality (Gretchen Rubin "The Four Tendencies" ), the chair uses a different method of informing-educating the user to help them change their habit of sitting incorrectly. This is achieved through:
  • audio messages
  • visual messages via an Arduino display
  • through a gamification application
  • through a community of chair users (public engagement)
• Alerts the user to have breaks to stay healthy and productive
• Integrates speakers in the head, for comfortable multi-hour listening (webinars, video conferencing, etc.) without disturbing other members of the household
• Features a special headphone holder on the back for the user's headphones, to save space at the desk

WHY DO WE NEED MONEY

The campaign money will be used for:

• Purchase of materials for the chair's construction (raspberry, Arduino screen, sensors, speakers, chair, etc)
• T-shirts with the team logo
• Travel and accommodation expenses of the team in Athens for the final
