In light of the COVID-19, Philippines was one of the hardest hit countries in Southeast Asia. Suddenly, there was an increasing number of hospital frontliners dying, mostly due to the lack of proper personal protective equipment or PPE that is needed to shield them from the virus while they fight back for those who already caught the disease. It was extremely saddening to see these events while most of us are just locked safely inside our homes. This is the best we could do, they said. But we think otherwise.

Recently, His Grace Photobooth, together with the help of our friends, was able to raise a total amount of ₱36,214 that is equivalent to 1,100 face shields and 27 gallons of alcohol. These were donated to 9 hospital beneficiaries and 2 checkpoints in the province of Pampanga including: Dr. Amado L. Garcia Medical Center, Inc., Ospital Ning Angeles, Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center, AUF Medical Center, The Medical City Clark, PRI Medical Center, Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, and Sacred Heart Medical Center. By the end of the day, stomachs may be empty but our hearts were full of happiness from seeing our frontliners' eyes glimmer along with big smiles as they receive our small help for them. What's even better is seeing the pictures of their hospital staff wearing the face shields we've worked hard to make for the last 2 weeks. It felt good to help the people we need the most these times.

As we've reached the happy ending of Wave 1, we decided to further extend some help to our frontliners by raising funds to order some much needed PPEs/hazmat suit. This time, our goal is to give at least 50 hazmat suits to 10 selected hospital beneficiaries within Pampanga. Each suit costs ₱300, which makes our goal a total of ₱150,000. This may be a huge jump from the amount we've raised for Wave 1, but it's also a huge help for our frontliners. We already coordinated this to a quality athletics clothing maker located in Manila. The hazmat suits are washable and made of water repellent microfiber fabric. This normally costs a minimum amount of ₱500 per suit but fortunately, the supplier was willing to help out our frontliners as well by charging only the labor and materials.

There is no deadline for the Wave 2 of our Frontliners PPE Donation Drive. As soon as we've raised a significant amount, we'll start ordering the hazmat suits to immediately distribute them to our beneficiaries. Any amount is a huge help. Your donation may contribute in sparing a frontliner's life from the virus.
