The school was awarded d1.25 acres of land [1/2hectare] in the year 1953 by the government of Tamil Nadu. The school was upgraded as middle school up to standard VIII in the year 1936 The school became high school up to standard in the year 1999 and the first set of students appeared for the public examination of X standard in April2001. The school has been approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The school also has been granted religious minority status by the order of Madras High Court and District Court, Dindigul. Today the strength of students in the high school from std VI to X, girls 226, boys 223 total 449. The strength of teachers, women -25, men-5 non-teaching staff-3. Primary Boys-156 girls-145 total-301. The school is managed by the two joint managers Mr.Louis Gnaniah, D.P.T. and Mr.C .Sebastian Amudhan, both being grandsons of Mrs.                   R. Sinnammal who is no more. The family belongs to the Tamil, Roman Catholic Community. REASONS FOR APPEAL This one of the very few high school in the entire state of Tamil Nadu run by TAMMIL LAY CATOLICS COMMUNITY. More than 90% of the staff and the students are from the same Tamil Catholic community.  The students are mostly drawn from the nearby slums and Marginalizes conditions. The school has all the merits to become a high secondary school, but is without financial facilities.  The Management has all along been experiencing severe financial paucity and has still managed to make it what it is today. This school has surely become a symbol of commitment to the uplift of the Tamil catholic. Over its existence of seventy two years. More than 60% of the  our school children are from slum area. Some of them are homeless and being brought up by their old grandparents. Some of them left to street and uncared. So parents intend to send their children for any labour even for meagre salary since their aim is to be happy with the basic needs of the life. Some parents are unable to give proper food to their children. If we have a hostel inside our school for both boarding and lodging, it is possible for us to increase the students strength in our school and it helps us to serve education for more student who are really affected without education and food. So, we the management long with then teachers, students and few parents put a humble request to construct a building to run a school with private hostel. And support to us financially every year to meet out the hostel expenditure.   FINANCIL AID NEEDED- MAJOR ITEMS   Building structures to accommodate 600 students for coming academic years and for future. Hostel facilities for 300 girl students along with basic facilities and well equipped rooms. Well equipped laboratories to cater to the need of higher secondary school in the depts. Of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Zoology. Play Grounds from nearby areas. Proper furniture for both the staff and students. Toilet and Urinal facilities to the students. Library with 5000 books.                                     A rough estimate of all above items will be around 50 lakhs. 72 years of service rendered by the management will testify to this. This appeal is open to verification by any mode.   PLAN FOR THE NEAR FUTURE   To provide sanitary facilities, drinking water facilities, proper class room facilities, well equipped laboratories to cater to the needs of a high secondary school, library with 5000 books, play ground s from nearby areas and buildings structure to accommodate 1500 students. Present estimated project is Rs. 25 lakhs.(twenty five lakhs) for immediate arrangements.                                       So,the total approximate estimate is around 75 lakhs.
