We are seeking all means of financial assistance from anyone, from anywhere in the world for the medical, hospitalization and upcoming craniotomy procedure of our mother, Dolores Opaño. A 62-year old mother, and a grandmother of 2 wonderful children.

She is a retired employee and have been battling different and many challenges in her life after her forced resignation by her employer last 2005. She has been diagnosed with Meningioma in her right brain last March 28, 2017 in Capiz Doctors Hospital in Capiz, Western Visayas. With limited facility in the province we have decided to bring her in Manila, Philippines to have a second opinion and hoping to hear a different diagnosis. On April 2, 2017, our mom rushed to St. Luke's Medical Center in E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave, Quezon City, Manila and was confirmed to have Meningioma. Her tumor in her right brain has grown bigger since her last CT Scan in Capiz. And the only solution the doctors see is thru craniotomy.

She was scheduled last Monday, April 10, 2017 but was cancelled because she was transferred from her room to ICU last April 8, 2017 because she was non-responsive. It was found out thru CT Scan that the tumor even grew bigger. With her in the ICU, she has acquired hospital pneumonia that even worsten her condition. And was intubated last April 10, 2017.

With her medical condition, she has been seen by Nephrologist, Endocrinologist, Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, Neurologist, and Neurosurgeon. She has been in suffering for her diabetes, hypertension, pneumonia, and meningioma.

She had several tachycardic attacks, albumin imbalance, sugar imbalance, and blood pressure unstable. April 14, they have started weaning my mom for her optimal condition for the operation. But need blood as her red blood cells have dropped.

The Neurosurgeon have already informed us prior that the surgery and post care may cost somewhere Php800,000.00 plus. This includes operating room, anesthiologist and her post care in NCCU.

The hospital have initially asked us to prepare Php100,00.00 as deposit for the surgery. But on our 3rd day in ICU they sent us a bill and required us to pay a partial amount of Php200,000.00. My sister and I have exhausted our resources, and have been loaning money from our friends, because as of writing, our bill is now close to Php600,000.00.

My sister and I are the only one looking after her in the hospital. We've heard several stories from the doctors that the reason the surgery was deferred last April 10, 2017 was because of financial constraints. Yes, it is somewhat true, buy we have never lose hope because the sibling of my mom have already provided a generous amount to cover the amount required for the deposit thru bank loan.

We are reaching to you thru gogetfunding.com to help us with my mom's medical, hospital, and surgery, including post care. It is too difficult for me and my sister seeing our mother fight everyday to be better, as we know she would love to have another chance. A chance to take care more of her grand children.

May you have the heart and compassion to help us in any kind - may it be prayers or any amount will be truly appreciated.

Thank you so much for taking the time in letting us share a the story of our mom. God bless you in your kindness heart
