For an abandoned house to become a home

Hello everyone,

My name is Victoria and unfortunately, I am in grave need of the help and support from the global community. I say I am in need, but actually I want to help someone else - my fiance.

The story is that in early June 2015 my fiance's aunt sold us a house out in the country for us to start out our independent lives in, but... It was abandoned for 13 years, no one lived here except bugs, mice and frogs... The house lacks basic things like plumbing, up-to-date electricity and even a simple thing we all take for granted - a refrigerator.

We are trying our best to invest as much money into this house as possible to get everything in shape, but the financial struggle is something we can't overcome so easily. I am a student in college and my line of studies does not permit a lot of free time for me to get a job and earn money and I feel really bad that everything has fallen upon my fiance's shoulders - not just the renovation of the house, but my well-being as well.

My fiance loves this house, I can see it clearly every time he speaks about it. I want to surprise my fiance someday soon (at least before Christmas) - take him to the hardware store and just tell him "Take everything we need and don't think about the money", but to do that, I need help...

I do not know if I am asking for very little, or a lot, because I have never tried out fundraising before. All I know is that everyone, who will, may, or may not contribute, is still loved, just for reading about my issue.
