It's a wrap! (Of the first draft -- but worthy of mention, nonetheless.)

As it stands now, rounding up, my manuscript is 87,000 words, organized in 22 chapters. First time, I've written something that length. The idea that it's quite an accomplishment in its own right is still settling. Of course, I've notes about things I want to fix and tweak, but it's time to hand it over to another pair of eyes.

If it wasn't raining today, I'd say I've got tractor time and mowing to do. But for now, I think Pip has the right idea about celebrating.
