This is going to read more like a weather update.  A good part of the Midwest has been in the grip of a humidity and heat wave for the last two days.  Since we have been taking a couple showers a day to prevent heat stroke (brachycephalics do not do well with temperature extremes), I decided to err on the side of caution rather than do a road trip.  Emma's appointment with her new vet has been rescheduled for next Tuesday--no appointments were available this week.  I have seen a mild improvement in the leg, so the heat inactivity and joint chews may be giving her some ease....will post more as we go along, and thank you again to you backers and followers!
