Help us move into our foster home!

We're happy to say that the adoptions of our lovely kittens in the UK are going well!

One-eyed Peppa (now officially named Ophelia Charalambous by her adopters), Oreo, Karmel and Penguin were already adopted!

That leaves two kitties in the foster home and plenty of space for the next batch! But more to that later.

First let's indulge in some lovelies photos of the kittens in their new homes because there isn't anything more rewarding than this and Happy Ends like this is why we do what we do.

Peppa is enjoying a snooze in her new home. She's already the Queen of the house and now has tons of cat siblings and even a dog to play with!

Oreo (grey and white) and Karmel (ginger) got adopted together! They've always been good friends and we couldn't be happier about them finding a home together

And lastly, we've got Penguin, our tuxedo boy

Penguin has been adopted only a few days ago and we're waiting on more photos. So far he has settled in well and is getting more confident every day.

Only Taffy and Roda are left from the first batch. Roda is already reserved for a lovely woman who adores her and we're confident that Taffy will find her Happy End soon.

Since our foster home in the UK has already successfully rehomed so many of our kittens we're ready to send in the next batch!

Meet Toyota and Coco!

These two gorgeous fluff balls will travel on December 11th and definitely won't stay long until they find loving adopters!

With each flight, we're struggling more and more financially. Everything is paid out of our own pockets but what else are we supposed to do?

The cold and rainy season is upon Cyprus now and we can't leave vulnerable kittens out in the streets, with all the dangers of catching an infection, getting into accidents or being poisoned by horrible people who see the street cats as vermin.

Please help us to continue saving as many of Nicosia's stray kittens by donating to this fundraiser and/or share it!

Every little helps!

We're happy to say that the first lot of kittens was sent to the foster home in the UK on Saturday, 13.11.

They were part of a huge charter flight that brought 99 animals from Cyprus to the UK. Onboard were mostly dogs but six of our gorgeous rescue kittens also found a spot.

We sent:

Roda, Peppa, Oreo, Penguin, Karmel and Taffy

I've created an album on google photos where you can follow the kitten's journey from Larnaca, Cyprus to Liége, Belgium and then onward via van to Buntingford, UK.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/sjYzkLvZmhp1sPk97

They arrived safely in their foster home and will be adopted out from there.

Here's the final vet bills for the six kittens

Our job isn't done yet.

We still have kittens waiting to be sent to the UK and are planning on sending them with the next charter flight in January.

I'll introduce you to the remaining kittens in the next update.

Besides the remaining vet bills we also had other expenses:

- flight costs. Usually, that's €570 for six kittens, but half of the costs were funded so we only had to pay €285. Thank you so much for this, Gabriella

- costs for transporting the kittens from the airport to their foster home in Buntingford, UK (137GBP per animal, 822GPB in total, that also includes custom and vat upon entry in the UK)

- export documents, TRACES and European Health Certificate: €20 per cat, €120 for all six of them (the screenshot shows €140. That's because we sent another cat on the same flight but this cat went directly to it's forever home and the adopter reimbursed us for the costs.

Everything was paid without an invoice, to save on vat. Because of that, I can only attach screenshots of PayPal through which the fees were paid.

Please consider supporting our cause.

Sending cats abroad is the only way to find them homes, it's impossible to rehome within Cyprus.

Thank you!

Roda, Peppa, Oreo, Penguin, Karmel and Taffy

https://photos.app.goo.gl/sjYzkLvZmhp1sPk97

We've been busy during the last few days and have already gotten eight kittens ready to travel!

The first flight will be on November 12th! Six of our gorgeous kittens will be on board:

Roda, Peppa, Oreo, Penguin and Karmel will move into the foster home in the UK while Taffy has found a forever home in the UK and will go directly there!

Jojo, Maddy, Toyota and Piper will have to wait for the next flight...

We're only just starting to face the costs of this big project. I have already attached the vet bills to get the kittens ready to fly but we still need to get them tested for FIV/Felv and vaccinate them a second time until they can travel abroad.

Rabies Vaccination, Microchip, Passport, Anti-Flea-Tick treatment, Deworming, FIV-FeLV Test + feline vaccination for Roda and Peppa Rabies and Microchip for Piper, Penguin, Taffy, Karmel, Oreo and Jojo

Please continue supporting us by either donating and/or sharing this fundraiser with as many people as possible!

We'll keep you posted!

DEUTSCH:

(Microchip, Tollwut-Impfung, EU-Heimtierausweis etc.)
