For The Love of Patricia – Por El Amor de Patricia

El Amor de Patricia is a place where love has no bounds towards the childern and people of Guatemala!

El Amor is an oprhanage where children come to when they have been neglected, abused, or abandoned. The stories are difficult to hear, but under this roof they are safe and loved. Currently there are 18 children that live in the Hogar/home with other community members that also participate in the orphanages resorces.

I have spent the past month here in San Lucas, Sacatepequez, Guatemala and have another 4 or 5 months of volunteering left here. I wish I could give the world to the children, nannies and volunteers that run El Amor! Unfortunatly I only have the means to provide my time. I'm hoping others out there are able to contrubite to what is needed keeping this place alive and well.

There is so much need, from purchasing dipers, to funding the children to go to school, keeping the lights on, and so much more. Another option you may consider is to donate to Bunk Bed Project. This is where we provide a beds to families in need to so many of the communities in Guatemala. From the capital city to distant villages our beds go where people may not be able to have a restful nights sleep. If you would like to spacificly donate to this project (also run by the orphanage) please notate in your comment you wish to do so. A bunk bed costs 180 US dollors.
