Rolly (Goni) was a super typhoon that made its first landfall in the province of Catanduanes and second landfall was in Tiwi, Albay, on Sunday, November 1. It hits parts of the Philippines with destructive winds and torrential rain and considered to be the world’s most powerful tropical cyclone in 2020.

As of November 4 2020, NDRRMC counts 20 deaths from Rolly. According to Rappler, of the 20 fatalities, 14 were from Albay, and 6 were from Catanduanes.

The fatalities in Albay were from the following municipalities and city:

  • Guinobatan: 7
  • Malinao: 3
  • Tabaco City: 2
  • Daraga: 1
  • Polangui: 1

In Catanduanes, the fatalities were from:

  • Virac: 4
  • Gigmoto: 1
  • San Miguel: 1

As much as the people tried to prepare, minimize and avoid its aftermath; still lost of properties, livelihood and worse lost of loved ones came to us all.

In addition, many areas in the province of Albay and Catanduanes have no electricity and water supply.

Hence, my siblings and I, decided to conduct a donation drive (started: November 4) for the immediate needs of the residents in 1st and 3rd District of Albay and in the province of Catanduanes.

We are already receiving donations and as of Nov. 7, 9:39AM, we now have PHP 14, 925.00 monetary donations which we’ll be using to purchase:

The first batch of relief, will be distributed in Travesia Elementary School (evacuation center). We already visited the area last November 5, and as of record, 48 families are staying there. By November 8, we will start the distribution. (I’ll be posting updates here)

The second batch of relief will be distributed in one of the baranggays in Malinao, Albay that was also devastated by #Rolly but only few are coming to give assistance and help.

I already have a contact person in this area, and probably, on November 14, we can already start distributing.

With this, I am asking if you can help us get more fund, so we can provide and purchase their immediate needs.

Let’s help them build their homes and start their lives by sharing what we can spare.

Your donations will be used to purchase their needs like food, water, OTC medicines, blankets and the like. We will ensure that your generosity reach those in need.

Your help and contributions are very much appreciated. May God bless you all.
