Sept 22 - Our youngest sibling, Naomi, started to feel numbness on her extremities, causing her to be unable to move by herself.
Sept 27 - Naomi was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome, a rare disorder in which the patient's immune system attack the nerves. It can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing the patient's whole body. (Photo from Propel Physiotherapy).
She is currently admitted at a hospital having her treatment, awaiting another lab test (EMGNCV) as of writing.
She needs IVIG for 5 consecutive days. This sums up to PhP 1 million in medication alone; not including other medical expenses (ward, doctor' fees, labs, etc.)

Update posted by Maria Danica Anne Aquino at 01:46 amNaomi was getting antibiotics for her infection. She can now move her knees and hold clipboards.She is scheduled to be moved from the ICU today. God is good!However, we will not be able to see her freely for now because her immune system is still weak.
