  • Hello everyone! We are grateful for your time to read our family’s story. The head of our family has been in and out of the hospital for the last four years, he is a survivor, currently battling the side effects of his diabetes and has been unfit to work. Im a 47 year old stay-at-home Mom, primary caregiver to our son Joey who has Autism (ASD) and to help us meet our most basic needs, we are selling home made food products in our neighborhood. Having a child with special needs is so expensive, we were able to send Joey to play school and Occupational Therapy on his early years of diagnosis, but wasn’t able to sustain it when his father got sick, his medical insurance were not enough to cover all the expenses because the diagnosis was recurring, thus, Joey has to stop his therapy sessions. He was nine months when he started to regress, from dancing a nursery rhyme song, saying his first word dad-dy, and eagerly listening to a story to eventually not seemingly paying attention, not seeing us eye to eye and complete silence. We only hear his voice when he cries, and that was his main form of communication before. He is now 5years old, he can say one to two words, sings a lot of Nursery songs, follows simple instructions but no profound verbal communication yet. As a mother i can’t just sit and watch my son grow older and not discovering the power of spoken language and seeing him living his life to the fullest and become a responsible and able young man.
  • I am here knocking at your heart po, seeking help to fund my son’s one straight year of Occupational and Speech therapy (2-3 sessions each per week) his first year in a Special School and a start up for a Home-based online job/online business (internet speed and PC requirements) so we can eventually sustain his schooling.
  • Your donations will help change my Son’s future. Thank you all very very much.
  • From,

Daddy Jojo and Mommy Gi Joey’s Parents
