I am Kel and this assistance is for my wife and unborn child.

When me and my wife decided to start a family we never thought that we will be undergoing a lot of heartbreaks and frustrations, I was just 33 and she was just 24 years old at that time so we thought we are both in our prime and that our bodies are in perfect health... we've been trying to conceive for 2 years without medical help, at that time we thought maybe it's not yet the right time. We only consulted an OB when my wife's menstruation lasted for 4 months, we thought she might have miscarried but her false positive pregnancy result prompted our Dr. to wait another week and to take necessary medicines that will aid her current situation. We did another test but ended with a negative result. She was referred to another OB Dr. for further tests, she bleed for another 2 months, then she was diagnosed with Abnormal Uterine Bleeding, they did diagnostic curettage and she was prescribed with antifibrinolytic to stop any further bleeding, her pelvic ultrasound revealed she had bilateral Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, she's overweight so to manage her PCOS, 500mg metformin once a day has been prescribed to her. I have a small business that both could support us so we decided that she will not work to accomodate her check ups and fertility work up and to free herself from more stress. I have to accompany her everytime she goes for a check up and for every procedure so I have to close my business sometimes. It was exhausting physically, mentally, emotionally and financially but hoping that after all this we will have a baby, it gave us hope and perseverance. Every month she has to do laboratory tests and pelvic ultrasounds to evaluate the medicines she's been taking. This medicines are supposed to regulate her menstruation and for her ovaries to ovulate but even though she reached the maximum dose for her ovulation drugs (the first line and second line of treatment) still she never had a mature egg, we have been now struggling for 2 years . Every month her period visits she's disappointed and it will take few days for her to get back to her happy self again. Our second doctor prompted us to be referred to an infertility and high-risk pregnancy doctor since none of her management made a progress. We now have been attended by a specialist which became our OBGYNE until now. We did all additional test and even do MRI scan with and without a contrast. MRI scan is not yet available here in our place at that time so we have to travel. We cannot wait for the final result which will take a few days since their neurologist was on leave, we have arranged it to be sent thru airmail. The result was discouraging, aside from her PCOS which prevents her from ovulating and having regular menstruation, her MRI scan showed a tumor on her pituitary, although it was benign its messing up with her hormones. It causes high levels of prolactin which is responsible for lactation which contradicts a woman from getting pregnant. Still whatever she has it didn't stop us from trying and trusting our doctors. She have now an infertility doctor and an endocrinologist to monitor her and which gave their own prescribed medicines. Its been 3 years of trying and its financially draining, we even resort to bank loans and debts to fund her treatments. From simple ultrasound scan to papsmear, sperm analysis to Hysterosalpingogram, and etc to prepare us for additional treatment. When everything necessary has been cleared we are now ready for a more intensive treatments from scheduled sexual intercourse, injections, boosters to artificial inseminations. Yet after another year of fertility work up she did not get pregnant. We have decided to rest for a while and just continue with medicines that will manage her PCOS and Prolactinoma cause by her pituitary adenoma. Our family, relatives and friends have really been encouraging, we are still optimistic since she is just in her late 20's. We even had support from other couples who also have the same problems like us who have been struggling conceiving, some of them had been trying for 14 years but still without good results and might end up adopting. Our strength and hope is that we keep praying to God, to pray that God will anoint this medicines and the doctors for knowledge and wisdom and healing hands. While we are still coping with our financial and hoping to save up for another course of work up, God answered our prayer, she has a positive result on her home pregnancy test. We are very happy but still having doubts since we did have a false positive before, maybe its still very early to tell so we repeated the test the next few days and it all came back positive with even stronger lines. Finally we overcome her PCOS and Pituitary Adenoma. Even though we have been struggling financially since then but nothing beats the excitement and happiness we are experiencing even if she has to take expensive medicines to support her pregnancy. In order for me to provide their needs I had to have additional loans on top of our existing debts. We really want to do our best while we still can and while time is still on our side, and she was still under 30 so we think its promising. Our OB Dr monitored us regularly and maintained constant communication. Our doctor advised us for my wife to be on bedrest since she is considered a high risk pregnancy and she needs additional care at home. But even though we are very careful there are things that are out of our control. At her 16 week pregnancy, she has a bleeding and has asymptomatic preterm labor contractions picked up during her ultrasound, it became worst at 17 weeks that even though she has been constantly monitored at the hospital, her miscarriage was inevitable. God allowed such tragedies that we cannot understand but it did not mean that we turn our back to Him instead to trust Him, and accept that there are limitations in our physical body. We mourned for as long as we needed, its very painful, we've been waiting, praying and hoping, and when it finally has positive results, its just for a short while. It was just for a short while but enough to made us fall in love deeply. In our hearts we are parents for a winged baby. An angel that God needs in heaven. Of course financially speaking we are broke and indebted, and getting out of the hospital we have to pay a big amount, a reality that we are obliged to pay. Donations from family, friends, relatives and church members paid our hospital fees and her home medications. Piling up expenses and debts and yet we are going home with our premature dead son, yes it was a baby boy with little finger and toes. We thought losing our first baby was the worst but the following year she got pregnant again ending with the same fate as our first child even though she's on strict bed rest again. Though our doctors have an idea what might have gone wrong during our first pregnancy, things have gone really fast this time and before we knew it, our baby's feet had been dangling out of her cervix and she's leaking amniotic fluid. We have no choice but for the doctors to deliver the baby who was again 17 weeks at that time, they were both alive when delivered but so very young that incubators and aggressive management could not help them. All I could do was to cuddle them and wait for them to stop moving, while my wife was at the recovery room. And again it hit us, before being discharged at the hospital we have obligations we cannot outrun. Spending a lot and going home with our second son (yes, it's a baby boy again) in a little box. Now we are the parents of two angels. I don't understand how we are able to go on living but we are certain that God gave us peace beyond a human's imagination. We are hurting, mourning and exhausted but deep within there's peace that is very comforting, reassuring that God did not abandon us. It made us more want to deepen our relationship to God, not only that but our relationship as well as husband and wife. My wife and I have a clearer mindset of having a stronger relationship with our family, relatives, friends and even our brothers and sisters in Christ. It was clear to us that despite our hardships and pains in this world we should never turn our back to God. After 2 years of my wife recovering physically and mentally, well financially we are still drowning in debt but still managing to settle some of it, she is again pregnant. This time I believe we are more prepared. It has been confirmed that she has trouble getting pregnant because of her PCOS and pituitary tumor and that even if she got pregnant she has trouble keeping it because of her Incompetent Cervix. She overcome PCOS and pituitary adenoma for the third time, that's already a great blessing for us. Keeping her pregnancy now is becoming a challenged. And as much as we tried to balance our finances we are still haunted by our previous debts that's why I am prompted to ask for aid. A financial assitance to support her ongoing pregnancy and a little help to pay our previous debts and loans especially now that we are under covid19. A month ago our doctor performed elective cervical cerclage on her to manage her incompetent cervix and again money is involved. She was about to reach 17 weeks of pregnancy again but 4 days ago without experiencing any untoward symptoms she was again bleeding which prompted us to immediately proceed to the emergency room, we have mixed emotions but it did not get the better in us. Only with few amount in our pockets we prioritized the life of our unborn child, money can be a problem later. Though the hospital is in crisis because of this covid 19 pandemic, we have receive the care we needed and they were able to stabilized her condition. For her bloody discharges, her doctor gave her medicines. Her ultrasound scan result is good, her cerclage is holding on and still intact although it doesn't look that great, the tie is still in place and no funneling noted. The baby is doing great and for the third time we are having another baby boy. We are very blessed though we still have 5 more months and we are not yet off the hook. My wife and our baby needs to be constantly monitored, and she has to take medicines to keep her pregnancy managed. We have faith in God and we surrender to whatever plan He has for us. Now, We are asking for help from each and everyone even though we are all affected by this virus, any amount will be a big help for us. My small business is closed and our other source of income is barely providing our daily needs. We have been through a lot and now we are in our desperate moment and humbly asking for your help. God Bless.
