Did you know that one of the main causes of low performance of individuals in the areas of education, sports and professional performance is a poor nutrition? Average IQ of colombians is 84 meanwhile in North America or Europe is 100. Well, here in Colombia malnutrition is a problem that affects near 20% of population, also, there are a rising risk of obesity which is now about 30% of adults.

Food industry in general, instead of looking for social responsible solutions is taking advantage of consumer´s lack of nutritional education and is continuously using "non adequate practices" to sell more and more processed foods. In the practice, nourishing of people is not a real concern.

We need funds for a food analysis lab in which we can validate and refuse food nutrition labels and health claims of processed foods sold in Colombia; also, for developing communicational strategies of our researches as well as for educational campaigns focused in "upgrade" the nutrition of Colombian consumers.
