Focus on child empowerment initiative

My name is Winnie Nakayenze. I am the founder and team leader at focus on child empowerment initiative in Mbale eastern Uganda.

My organization launched our “ focus on child ‘empowerment initiative fundraiser.” Before the year is out, we want to raise $3000 to help assist orphan children with food, clean water, an education, medications, bedding, clothing, and footwear, as well as to pay for our sustainable project activities.

It takes a lot of effort to obtain any of these. Getting meals is quite hard, and if we have money, we would buy maize flour for food and porridge, rice, and beans. The Orphans occasionally get meat for a meal. Most of the time, the water that is available is contaminated, making clean water unusual. Children also frequently experience severe outbreaks of malaria as well as other skin conditions that require ongoing care.

In order to reduce poverty in disadvantaged communities, education would have been essential, but sadly, it is the most difficult thing a poor child can do.

We therefore ask for your help in advancing this cause because we know that the orphan children we care for would be appreciative of any contribution made to their welfare and future development as good and changed citizens.

If we are provided support, even a modest sum of money will enable us to accomplish and meet the requirements of children. This will significantly alter the life of the orphans in Mbale.
