Fly Me to International Model United Nations 2018!

My name is Puteri Nuraaina Balqis, I'm 23 years old and currently an undergraduate student in Bachelor of. English with Communication, UniSZA. I'm on a mission to bring the glory to my beloved country, Malaysia by representing my country in International Model United Nations 2018 (IMUN 2018). IMUN 2018 would be held on 1-3 June 2018 at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand. It is a three day international relations simulations that takes up the format of a UN conference and providing the delegates an opportunity to gain insight into the workings of United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of UN representatives and members of other international bodies and national cabinets. I will get a chance to debate, discuss and suggest solutions to current global issues based on my country's stance and be a significant part in tackling the issue under my assigned council later.

I need to pay off the fees by 30 January 2018 or else I have to pass this once-in-a-life-time opportunity. I came from a moderate family who is constantly juggling with financial constraints I don't wish to burden them any further despite the fact that they would trade in the world to see me achieving successes. Besides, my study loan won't be credited until the middle of February so I don't have any source of income until mid-February.

I'm committed with my self-development and always look forward to give back to the society. I have always looking forward in playing a better role as a global citizen and embraces my trait as a lifelong learner. I view this as a platform to enhance my knowledge in international relations, set of skills such as diplomatic skills, persuasion, negotiation, public speaking and build up my networking across the globe which I believe that I could utilize them in the future in the spirit of striving towards a better nation.

Your contribution regardless how many is the amount would mean the world to me. I won't settle for the less and would always give the best in anything that I pursue. I want to make my country proud by bringing back an award through my participation in IMUN 2018 just like how I did at Asia Youth International Model United Nations 2017 (AYIMUN 2017) which i stood out as the only Malaysian to receive the Honourable Mention Award from the UNESCO council for my outstanding contribution and performance throughout the program.
