Campaign Story
He was 12 years young, when a cyclist traveller, who was passing his village, ignited Mohammads interest and passion, to get in touch and host people from all over the world. With an english written sign in his hand, he stopped travellers of all kind on the road, and started to host them in his grandfathers house. Years later, against all odds, he bought the ruin of a traditional mud house. Within three years and with passion and determination, he rebuild it into a one of a kind guesthouse, or rather home, that he shares from the heart: The legendary Tak Taku.
His door to the world, and an Iranian home for the world, to rest, recharge and get to know Iranian culture. „Here“ he says, „you will be part of family.“ It’s a magical, almost sacred place. A sanctuary and embrace, full of touching personal and cultural history.
Mohammad is a master of the collective, drawing in the right people for a bigger cause. First the travellers, then the traditional craft workers for the magnificent restoration. Now he needs us for the next big project, which will extend the beauty and purpose of this profound place in the heart of Iran.
During the pandemic, he had no guests in two years. A challenging time which he used to work on the vision, to host even more travellers. An empty property next to his house is now another safe place, due to the walls he build around it. An empty canvas, full of beautiful ideas, to turn it into an extended sanctuary, which he closer explains in the video.
He’s estimating that it’ll take 20.000 US Dollars to finish the vision, from kitchen and bathroom facilities, planting trees and grass, to buying the dishes for the guests. Now is our chance to be a part of this miraculous oasis and the dream of a man, who dreams for all of us, who travel and want to travel.

Hey Mohammad, It’s so nice to see you and your place again. We had such a wonderful time with you in Toodeshk and I’m always looking back. I hope your campsite will be, like you imagine it and I surely want to support you and your project. To the people who don’t know Mohammad: He is kind, supportive and for me he is a very good friend. A person, who gives everything he has, for his friends and guests. It’s worth it!
