First Apartment

Hi everyone,

I'm Wan Yong, freshly graduated in August 2017 and seeking extra income while working a full time job as a Google AdWords & Facebook advertising campaign management executive and also as a freelance writer whenever I have the time to. The issue with being freshly graduated and working a few states away from home is that it can be a difficult and slow process to get a lease for my own property with land and all; I do not ask for my parent's financial support anymore once I managed to get a PTPTN loan & 50% scholarship for my BSc (Hons) Biology with Psychology degree in Sunway University.

Unfortunately, I was 0.14 CGPA points away from a First Class Honors, and so I wasn't qualified for the repayment exemption. I have started paying back the PTPTN loan immediately on a monthly basis upon getting hired in September 2017 (RM316.25/ month) and I am currently staying in a friend's house renting an available room as well.

I'm sure that most other more seasoned working adults here have experienced the difficulties in getting a first home, and the progress is made even harder with bank loans. While I am working and saving as much as I could with my current monthly income, some extra financial help would be very much appreciated :)

My goal is to get my own place within 3 years after graduating (by 25 years old) with as little bank loans involved as possible.
