Medical support for my mother (Mrs. Ariñes)

On March 13th 2019, my mom Luby Olalia Ariñes encountered a heart attack at around 11:00 am. Sinugod siya sa unihealth hospital around 11:30 since nkakaramdam na cya ng hirap sa paghinga at paninikip ng dibdib. She run some tests ( ECG, X-ray, blood tests) and after waiting for 2 hours nadetect siya as heart attack. In that moment, she was advised by the doctor to be immediate confined to the ICU to monitor the emergency case. As of that moment, the current ICU section was full so the doctor and nurses decides to search other hospitals if there's any available ICU. As time goes by, the doctors and nurses found some hospitals with available ICU place, however they're eventually full due to quick time interval. When i found at around 12:30 , my mom was calling me to inform the incident that she was rush on the hospital. The hospital suggest to find another hospital na merong ICU, ang meron lang that time is St. Lukes Bgc. So we confirmed and tumawag si unihealth para matransfer ang mom ko to st. lukes bgc.

After waiting for about 8 hours, natransfer mom ko st lukes via an ambulance costs 8k. Around 9 or 10 pm, natransfer successfully mom ko sa st lukes hospital. 4 doctors kagad ang nagcheck sa kanya to check since nadetect ang sakit nya as heart attack. Inassess siya uli and took some tests again. After waited for the results, confirmed nga na nagkaheart attack nga siya so the doctors explain to us the whole details and suggest to perform the angiogram to check ilang ang possible na bara sa heart ng mom ko. If merong madetect na bara ipproceed kagad nila ang angioplasty procedure, since the case was very emergency/critical. Ininform din kme to make a decision as soon as possible since ang kalaban namin is time. Hindi natin alam kung kelan siya aattakihin uli. The billing/admission explained to us how much it will cost. Nagbgay sila possible max range on how much the overall stay, medicines and procedures it will cost. The range was 500k to 1.5 million which is very expensive. Nagbigay din sila ng other option if hindi kaya ung amount na na provide, they can help transfer us to another hospital na mas mura. Pero that was very risky if matransfer ang mom ko to another place. During that moment inaayos na ang mga dapat ayusin para maperfom ang procedures and stay in the hospital. So ang pinakahinihintay samin is ung decision. After 4 hou rs waiting, the family decides to perform the operation. Para maiwasan ang posibleng masamang mangyare.

At March 14 2019, 1 am. All documents and needed information were all settled. Prinoceed agad siya sa CATLab to perform the angiogram. The doctor inform us if may madetect agad na bara they will perform the angioplasty which we agreed. In just 5-10 mins, nadetect nila ang unang bara. After that update the angioplasty was performed already. The operation was performed less than 30 mins and it was successful. The doctors advised na 2 ang bara na nkita. After the operation, inadmit kgad siya sa CCU (coronary care unit) to monitor her condition for almost 24 hrs.

At March 15, 2019, After her doctor checked and seems she's in good condition trinasfered na siya to regular private for her further medications. She stayed there for about 3 days. Nung chineck nmin ung running bill which daily nmin chineck from 26k pesos it jumped to almost 700k pesos due to her medications , procedures, doctors fees which was 235,000 pesos.

At March 16, 2019, Nilipat nmin siya to ward section to lessen the hospital bill to lessen the hospital

At March 19, 2019 5:30 pm , We officially discharged her from the hospital. Thank you very much for all your prayers and financial help.

This fundraising is still ongoing to raise money in covering the remaining doctors fees and continues medications which we provide a promissory note first to the hospital for her to be discharged.
