FINANCIAL HELP FOR MY MOTHER

I am seeking your prayers and financial help for my mother Norma Tiatco. My mother was admitted in the hospital due to pneumonia last April 2, 2020. Aside from pneumonia, she has other symptoms like loss of appetite, headache, cough, and fever. On top of that she complained of frequent stomach pain which caused her not to eat well. Her symptoms are similar to Covid19 as per initial diagnosis of the doctors.

I, her daughter, brought her first to UST hospital and other affordable hospitals but they refused to admit her. The reason being they have lots of patients due to the pandemic and could not accept any more. We were finally accepted by St. Luke’s Hospital, a hospital known for very good doctors and very high cost as well. We did not have the choice that time so we decided to be admitted in that hospital. She was admitted in the ER and since she has the same symptoms of Covid19, they considered her case as Covid19 and all gowns used by the nurses and the doctors who attended to her were specialists. It means, her case requires more attention which caused the hospital bills to shoot up. She was transferred to an isolation room after three days. She was given antibiotics but the bacteria persisted until now.

The Covid19 test result came back (she had Covid19 test done in St. Luke’s prior to going to ER on Apr 2) and showed negative. However, they did another Xray yesterday to make sure that she is really negative. Xray showed her left lung has deteriorated so they did another Covid test and result will come after 5-6 days. She was in oxygen from the time they arrived in ER till today. She has still low appetite and sometimes she eats blended foods only. With her condition, she will likely stay longer in the hospital to be treated and recover.

MRSA PNEUMONIA was the final diagnosis by the doctor and this type of pneumonia is hard to treat than covid19.

With all the medicines, specialists’ fees, high end gowns, and medical care, the bill is already PHP 630,000 as per attached. And her bills will still go up as she is still not able to eat well and her left lung is deteriorating.

With this, we would like to seek your generous hearts to raise funds to help us pay the hospital bills. I do not have a job as I take care of my mother, and the companies of my brother and sister stopped due to pandemic.
