Financial assistance for single-parent family

Hi everyone, my name is Jen C, and I am the eldest of three siblings with two younger brothers, both of who are still in school. Our mom has been widowed for 13 years, has raised the three of us alone, and has been working to provide for us without much assistance until I graduated uni and eventually helped her with expenses.

My family fell into debt last year as my mom continued to have difficulty finding work after her contract ended in mid-2021, right before she and my brothers got COVID (one brother was below 18 at the time, so he was unvaccinated when he caught it and there were complications -- we had to rush him to the ER at one point). She had some projects here and there, but I was the only person in my family working a full-time job (and receiving consistent income) for over a year. While we gradually clawed our way out of debt (I managed to take out a bank loan through work, thankfully, which I'm also paying off in addition to utilities), I wasn't making much, barely enough to support a family of four. Our landlady was kind enough to accept rent payments late, but we eventually fell behind as the year went on.

Early this year, our landlady passed overseeing rent payments to her kids, who weren't as kind, and announced that they were raising the monthly rent by alm, and that all tenants had to be up to date with their payments. We had to raise over half a year's worth of rent (totaling around 1800 USD) in a month or we would be forced to leave the place we had stayed in for over fifteen years.

We struggled with settling our balance, only to be asked to pay the updated 2-month deposit to reflect the raised rent amount, as well as a 1 month advance, both over the course of a month as well. In addition, my brother needed to pay off his tuition balance (that isn't covered by his partial scholarship) so that he could be permitted to enroll for the next school year. The scholarship he has is partial and while his school can apply it at the beginning of each year, they can't settle his balance as they have thousands of scholars to support.

While we are usually up to date with regular payments like bills, we already struggle with existing payments as we recover from debt. These new payments have since put an intense strain in our financial situation, leading to us falling behind on other payments once again.

I have since taken a second job to help generate more income, I take on a lot of writing projects, we have sold what we could in our house, I sometimes sell K-pop merch, and my mother has started her new job (edit: 8/13/2023 - it didn't work out due to internal issues with the company, so she is job-hunting again), but what we make right now isn't enough to cover everything we need to pay.

Any amount will help greatly, and I'm just really trying to help my mom out so she doesn't get too stressed raising the money we lack. The amount listed here isn't the full amount, but would help us a lot as our family continues to recover financially. Thank you!
