Fight for Charity – In Support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mb – Ryan
CA$4,100.00raised of CA$4,000.00 goal goal
Hey Everyone, it's your boy Ryan and I got myself into a bit of a pickle. Turns out I was convinced into trying boxing and to take part in the fantastic Fight for Charity here in Winnipeg for 2022.
I'm in the middle of the 3 month training camp provided by Pan Am Boxing Club, and loving every minute of it! Even the getting punched in the face parts (which probably isn't a suprise to most :P )
For myself, I'm definitely using this opportunity to get over CCS (Covid Couch Syndrom), the less dangerous but probably most widely contracted version of
"the Covid". It's been an absolute blast getting into the gym again, and through the hard work put in at Pan Am I'm already down over 20lbs since the start of camp.
As fighters, it's expected that we fund raise a minimum of $2000 to help support the great cause of Ronald McDonald House, so I'm hoping you, my friends and family can help me raise as much as possible to help these Manitoban familes through their time of hardship.
If you're not comfortable donating online, contact me offline and we can work something out.
*** Anyone who donates $50 or more will be invited to my post fight BBQ where instead of you going to sleep from my right hand, you will enjoy a sweet slumber due to exhaustion from eating deliciously smoked meats. Date TBD but in May.
The 2022 Fight for Charity will be held at the RBC Convention Centre on the 30th of April and will feature:
- 12 novice boxing matches
- Casino gaming
- Silent auction
We are proud to announce that the 2022 Fight for Charity event is in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Manitoba (RMHC).
Each and every day, the RMHC Manitoba Mission is delivered through their two core programs, Ronald McDonald House, at 556 Bannatyne Avenue, and Ronald McDonald Family Room, within the walls of HSC Children’s Hospital. Their mission is to help families stay together and feel supported as they maneuver through the challenging and confusing journey of childhood illness or injury. Every year, RMHC Manitoba supports over 2,000 families with overnight accommodations and day use programming. The services provided by RMHC Manitoba support the emotional and physical well-being of the family unit as well as help to ease the financial burden that accompanies childhood illness or injury. This integral support will save families over 1.35 million dollars annually in costly, out-of-pocket expenses.
By delivering important services such as accommodation, meals, parking, laundry, transportation, and programming, RMHC Manitoba is providing families with daily essentials allowing parents to focus on their sick child, their family, and themselves. Keeping families together during times of emotional turmoil allows them to stay strong and fills them with a deep appreciation for all those who are part of the RMHC Manitoba Mission.
RMHC Manitoba is truly proud to be an integral part of the network of care for sick children and their families and is grateful to their community of compassionate supporters.
What one accomplishes alone can be good, but what many accomplish together makes a difference.
Our fundraising goal for the 2022 event is $50,000. Please help us get there by donating anything you can to this worthy cause and sharing this page. Every dollar counts!!
Thanks everyone for taking the time to come here, read this and hopefully help support Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba.
See you all on April 30, or maybe not if my eyes are swollen shut from eating punches....
